Out of all of the books that he has written I would say that this is my favorite. The military guy comes home not expecting to fall in love. He leaves to go back overseas and when things start to get rough, he re-enlists for more time without consulting her. This ultimately leaves him without the girl in the end of the book. It doesn't end anywhere near how I thought it was going to end. It wasn't the happy ending that normally accompanies his books.
If you love a love story that will jerk out some tears, then I recommend this book, or any of his books.
